Terms of service
Last updated August 12, 2026
Paydex is software that lets merchants accept stablecoin payments directly to their own wallets. By signing in with a wallet or integrating the API you agree to these terms.
What Paydex is, and is not
- Paydex is non-custodial software. Payments go to one-time blockchain addresses and settle on-chain directly to the merchant's wallet. We never hold, control, or take possession of merchant or customer funds, and there is no balance with us to withdraw.
- Paydex is not a bank, exchange, or wallet, and does not convert between currencies.
- The merchant is the seller of record. Goods, services, taxes, refunds and disputes are between the merchant and their customer.
Fees
The commission is 0.4% of each payment, split off inside the settlement transaction itself and capped on-chain at 1%. On networks where the settlement transaction is expensive to run (Ethereum, BNB Chain, Tron), a network fee is billed as a separate line, calculated from the network's current resource prices for that transaction and capped on-chain at 5% of the payment; on other networks we absorb it. Paydex may source the network resources it fronts in whatever way is most efficient, including leasing delegated Tron energy rather than burning TRX; the fee is calculated the same way regardless of sourcing. Every payment's receipt itemizes exactly what was deducted, verifiable on the public blockchain.
Irreversibility and refunds
Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed. Paydex cannot recall funds, undo an overpayment, or issue refunds, because it never holds the money. Refunds, when a merchant chooses to give one, are sent by the merchant from their own wallet. Customers should treat every payment as final at the moment of sending.
Your responsibilities
- Your wallet is your account. Whoever controls its keys controls the account and receives the money. We cannot restore access to a lost wallet.
- Payout addresses you register must be correct: settlements to them are irreversible.
- Keep API tokens and webhook secrets confidential, and revoke them if exposed. Tokens are deliberately unable to change payout destinations.
- Use Paydex only for lawful commerce. We may refuse service where the law requires it.
Service quality and risk
The service is provided as is, without warranties. Blockchains, wallets and infrastructure providers can fail or be congested independently of us. Our smart contracts have not yet completed an independent audit, and settlement on EVM and Tron networks is deliberately permissionless so that merchants can trigger their own payout even if Paydex is unavailable. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees we earned on the affected payments.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the product evolves; the date above tells you when. Questions go to hello@paydex.io.
